So first we have to understand that can it really possible to convert our pen drive into ram? Yes it is possible to convert pen drive into ram but this is not good for your laptop. What is a pen dive? It is basically a small potable hard disk or storage media which allows us to transfer the data form one system to others system. It have a fixed storage that means you can store that much amount of data in it.

Why you have to convert your pen drive into ram? There are many reasons for doing this. 

• If you laptop have very less ram.

• If your laptop gets too old

• If you are using any software which needs more ram

• If are doing a different work

 And may you are using a that much heavy game which needs large ram like GTA 5 (Grand Theft Auto 5 it is a most popular game in the world this is very realistic i must prefer this game to gamer. If you want to do such things which is not possible in your real life then that things you can do in this game) or any other high rated game and also there are many others reasons also there which is valid from person to person. Different person may have different reasons for doing this. But this will harm your pc or laptop as your ram is specially prepared for doing a unique task and your pen drive is for different task which work is to carry data it is like a small hard-disk which can be easily moveable.

If you mix this two different things this must not good for your laptop. Your ram has high data transfer speed which is up to 2Gps\s or up to 10Gbp\s where the normal pen drive has data transfer speed up to 20 Mbp\s or 50Mbp\s and if you  have a high rated pen drive then the speed goes to 100Mbp\s :(   which is of course not a good speed and when this speed not matches with your ram then this will make a problem. Whatever we will discuss it into another article let come back to our topic that how can we convert it. There are some steps to create a virtual ram let discuss them in detail

 STEP 1:

Plug your pen drive in  your laptop or pc (make sure your pen drive have sufficient storage that help your to make more virtual ram in your system) and the go to  the Computer in your system where all the disk are located then see whether you pen drive is connected to your system or not. Erase all the data form your pen drive to a good work.

STEP 2: 

Once your pen drive is connected and erase all the data in it then right click on it. Many options are come on the screen see at the last. You will found ' Properties ' over there just click on the properties. A small menu will appears will appears on your screen. Your will found many options over there. 

STEP 3: 

Second or third last option is ' Ready Boost ' you will find there just click on the ready boost option and then there you will find three options over there. By-default the first options is selected the options are ads follows:

• Do not use this device.

• Dedicate this device to ready boost.

• Use this device 

  Let  Explains all the points. The first option is do not use this device this means the pen dive is not use as a ram and it will use as a normal storage media in which you can store files. That's why it is selected by-default.

  The next option is dedicate this device to ready boost this means all the space in your pen drive are taken as ram. I like this option the most because when you attach your pen drive to your system some space is taken as reserved memory in your laptop by which you can not use the full storage of pen dive as a ram.

  Now the last option that is Use this device this means you can adjust how much space you want to convert as a ram which is used by your laptop. 

  This is up to you that which option is you will select but i prefer the second option that is dedicate this device to ready boost because in this all the space in your pen drive are taken as ram which is quite good.

  STEP 4: 

  However when you select the given option the just click on the apply and then ok button. The process started once  the process will end you will find that whatever storage you selected that would be save in your pen drive as a file which is named as Ready-Boost. This file help the system to access more ram when required. Now when ever toy system need more ram it will take form there. 

  NOW " The question arises that who you will repair you pen drive? "

  Well this is very simple just you need to follow the same steps which i have discuss above means remove your pen drive form your system and again plug your pen drive in  your laptop or pc then again right click on it. Many options are come on the screen see at the last. You will found ' Properties ' over there just click on the properties. 

  A small menu will appears will appears on your screen. Your will found many options over there. Then click the first option that is do not use this device. And just click apply and ok and your pen drive become normal. 

  So in this way you can convert pen drive into ram. All the steps are same even your are using windows 7 or 8 any distribution of windows. This steps only apply on the windows plate form means this steps not applicable for other operating system like Mac Os or Linux distribution. But in our country India almost 99% people windows distribution as a main operating system that's why we write this article specially for window's operating system.
